Tour Overview
Our river boat tour begins at our dock on the banks of the Tarcoles River, Central Pacific, Costa Rica. We navigate the river to observe the wide variety of native and migratory bird species that call the river home. We make our way towards the mouth of the river to find the shorebirds and waders commonly spotted in this area, and we also meander through the mangrove estuary to observe the well sought-after bird species found in this unique ecosystem.

Tour Details
Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours
Departure times: 6:00am, 9:00am, 2:30pm
Includes:
- Entrance to our tour
- Boat captain experienced in birding tours
- Cold bottle of water each
Cost: $45 per person

Our river boats are secure, comfortable, well-maintained and silent for the best birding possible. Each boat has a canopy roof for protection from the elements and contains all necessary safety equipment including life jackets. Our boats have the required Navigation Permits from the Ministry of Public Transportation.
We have capacity to accommodate your small, medium or large birding groups.
